During Sabbath at the 2025 General Conference Session, a moment of remembrance and celebration was held to honor those who passed away; some during their service, others after a lifetime of dedication to the church. Among those remembered was Pastor Maurice R. Valentine II, former president of the Lake Union Conference and a General Conference vice president at the time of his passing.
Maurice Valentine dedicated his life to ministry, serving churches across the Midwest, leading conferences with compassion and conviction, and advancing digital evangelism across the globe. From his years as secretary and president of the Lake Union to his final role at the General Conference, he remained unwavering in his love for God, His church, and the mission of spreading the gospel.
We remember and honor Maurice Valentine alongside the many other faithful souls whose lives of service were represented that day.
